Who we are

A driving school built around the learner

Local Instructors is a community-focused driving school dedicated to delivering personalised, patient and professional driving tuition. We were founded on the belief that learning to drive should be an empowering experience — one that builds confidence, strengthens awareness, and prepares every learner for real-world driving, not just the test.

We understand that every learner brings their own story, pace and personality. That's why our teaching approach is built around calm guidance, structured progression and genuine support. Whether you're a complete beginner, a nervous driver, or someone returning to driving after a break, Local Instructors provides a learning environment where you can grow steadily and confidently.

The school was founded by Wale, a DVSA-approved driving instructor and a certified, qualified instructor trainer — so the same standards that shape our lessons go into training the next set of instructors too.

A pass certificate is the milestone, but the real goal is somebody still driving safely in ten years' time. That's why we teach judgement and observation as hard as we teach manoeuvres, and why we won't sign anyone off early.
