Every kind of lesson we teach

Beginner to test-ready, manual or automatic, plus full training if you want to become an instructor. All lessons £42 an hour.

🔰 Beginner Lessons

Never sat behind the wheel? Start here.

Your first lesson happens somewhere quiet, at walking pace, with the handbrake never far away. We cover the cockpit drill, the controls and moving off and stopping — and that's genuinely all we expect of a first lesson. Everything else builds on top once that feels ordinary.

Best for: Complete beginners with no experience at all, including anyone who's put this off for years.
  • Cockpit drill and car controls explained properly
  • Moving off, stopping and steering in quiet areas
  • Clutch control or creep control, depending on your car
  • Zero pressure — we go at whatever speed you need

Manual Lessons in Cambridgeshire with Local Instructors
⚙️ Manual Lessons

Clutch, gears, hill starts — the full set.

A manual licence covers manual and automatic cars, which makes it the most flexible thing you can hold. Clutch control is the hurdle, and we treat it as a skill to be drilled rather than a knack you either have or don't.

Best for: Anyone who wants one licence that covers every car — hire cars, work vans, a friend's car.
  • Clutch control and biting point until it's automatic
  • Smooth up-and-down gear changes, including block changes
  • Hill starts with no roll-back
  • All four test manoeuvres on real roads
🅰️ Automatic Lessons

No clutch, no gears, no stalling.

An automatic removes the gearbox from the list of things you're juggling, which leaves you free to concentrate on the road. Same price as manual with us, so choose it because it suits you — not because it's cheaper.

Best for: Nervous learners, city drivers, anyone the clutch has defeated, and future EV owners.
  • No clutch and no gear changes to think about
  • Confident road positioning and observation
  • Roundabouts and busy junctions without the gear panic
  • Often fewer hours needed to reach test standard

🌱 Nervous & New Drivers

Anxious about driving? That's very common.

Driving anxiety is normal and it's workable. We start smaller and slower than you'd expect, we tell you exactly what's coming before it happens, and we stop when you need to stop. No sighing, no raised voices, no commentary on how long it's taking.

Best for: Anyone who's anxious, has had a bad experience with a previous instructor, or is returning after a knock.
  • Lessons paced entirely around your comfort
  • Everything explained before you're asked to do it
  • Quiet routes first, busier roads only when you're ready
  • Absolutely no judgement about how long anything takes
⚡ Intensive Courses

Need your licence quickly? Compress the timeline.

An intensive course packs your hours into days or weeks instead of months. It works brilliantly if you have a job starting, a move coming, or you simply learn better in concentrated blocks — but it asks a lot of you in a short window, so we'll be honest about whether it suits you.

Best for: People with a deadline: a new job, a house move, or a test date already booked.
  • Your block hours delivered over days or weeks
  • Test-ready assessment built into the plan
  • Theory support running alongside
  • An honest view on whether intensive is right for you

🔁 Refresher Lessons

Passed a while ago and lost your nerve?

You already have the licence — what's gone is the confidence. Refresher sessions rebuild it on the specific things that worry you, whether that's motorways, multi-lane roundabouts, parking in town or driving at night.

Best for: Licence holders who haven't driven in a while, or who avoid particular roads or conditions.
  • Motorway and dual-carriageway confidence
  • Busy roundabouts and lane discipline
  • Parking and manoeuvring in tight town spaces
  • Night and adverse-weather driving
🏁 Test-Ready Assessment

A full mock test, marked like the real one. £100.

Run exactly like a real driving test: the same length, the same style of route, the same marking sheet. At the end you get a straight answer on whether to book your test, and a specific list of what to fix if the answer is not yet. Worth doing before you pay the DVSA.

Best for: Anyone approaching test standard who wants to know for certain rather than hope.
  • Full-length mock on genuine local test routes
  • Marked on the real DVSA marking sheet
  • Debrief covering every fault and why it happened
  • An honest verdict — we won't tell you you're ready if you're not
