Q: How many hours will I actually need?

The DVSA's own figure is around 45 hours of professional tuition plus about 22 hours of private practice — which is exactly why our biggest block is 45 hours. That said, it varies hugely. Someone with plenty of private practice may need far fewer; a complete beginner with no other driving may need more. We'll give you an honest estimate after your first couple of lessons rather than guessing up front.

Q: Is a manual lesson more expensive than an automatic one?

No. Both are £42 an hour, and block bookings work out identically. We'd rather you chose the transmission that genuinely suits you than the one that's cheaper.

Q: Do block-booking hours expire?

No. Your hours stay on your account until you've used them. You can take them one hour at a time, in two-hour lessons, or as a full intensive week — whatever fits around your life.

Q: What is the test-ready assessment?

It's a £100 session run exactly like a real driving test: the same length, the same style of routes, and marked the same way. At the end you get an honest verdict on whether you're ready to book your test, and a clear list of what to fix if you're not.

Q: What happens if I need to cancel a lesson?

Just give us at least 48 hours' notice and we'll move it free of charge. Cancellations inside 48 hours may be charged, because that slot usually can't be filled at short notice.
